The Difference Between Synthetic and Human Hair wigs

The main difference between human hair and synthetic hair wigs is the material, synthetic wigs are made from man made fibres appearing and feeling as real as possible, whereas human hair wigs are made from harvested human hair, so they look and feel like real hair.
There are pros and cons to each type.
Human hair wigs
There are many benefits of Human Hair wigs some include: a more natural and passable look, which can be easily styled with product, colour, and heat exactly how real hair styles.
The longevity of human hair wigs is much longer than synthetic wigs, with proper care and maintenance.
Because they are harvested from real human hair these wigs are much more costly and high maintenance than synthetic, they also react more to weather and can be more fragile.

Synthetic hair wigs
Synthetic wigs are often the cheaper option, they are easy to care for because of their style retention feature, all they need is a simple wash, dry and shake out and will often retain its initial styling.
Synthetic wigs often have a larger colour selection, with more of a fantasy selection and choice. Synthetic wigs are also often low maintenance and versatile so a really good option for someone wanting to wear more wigs.
Synthetic wigs dont tend to last as long as human hair wigs unfortunately and they have less versatility, its not recommended to recolour synthetic wigs and heat cannot be applied to them unless it is specifically heat friendly, so you have less styling options.
One thing to consider with synthetic wigs is the shine, cheaper wigs can have an unnatural shine, here at pak’s we have a pro tip for you to try. Try giving your shiny synthetic wig a blast of dry shampoo to lose the shine and make the wig look more natural.
