Haven't used this product too much as of yet but doesn't seem to leave flaky bits like most gels

Meh...this product is confusing. But never put on dry hair because it will make your hair sticky and tangly. I didn't even like it on wet hair. My hair feels dry and stiff. But i just use a small amount for my edges that's is the best use i can get for it. A tiny goes a long long long way. I think it works well for twist outs.
